You may find that it takes going through the materials two or three times before your feet are set on solid ground. Be patient. God is far more interested in the process of meeting with you and conforming you into His character than He is interested in seeing you simply free from one particular sin. You will understand this principle and process more as you work through the study. Keep looking to God for healing and hope. He will provide.

Daily Study on Breaking Free From Bondage to Pornography, Masturbation,
Lust, and Fantasy.
Our 12-week workbook study, named Striving for Absolute Purity, is the hallmark of our ministry because it seeks to guide people not simply away from sexual sins, but into a dependant relationship with the Lord whereas the underlying desire for purity outweighs the selfishness and pride that keeps a person in bondage to sexual sins.
Breaking free from the grip of pornography, fantasy, lust, masturbation or another sexually compulsive activity is one of the hardest struggles you will face in life. Many self-help books and programs teach you how to avoid temptation to lessen your daily struggle. However, they don't provide lasting relief because they are based upon your strength and abilities. Consider what the Bible has to say on this topic:
Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belong to it, do you submit to its rules: "Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not Touch!" These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgences.
Colossians 2:20-23.
This biblically-based study is very intense in terms of time and soul searching. We suggest that you devote at least 50 minutes a day. The study is structured to incorporate each of the characteristics of the PROVEN acronym into your daily life. Although the study is only 12 weeks long, it is designed to give you a sure foundation and setting you on the lifetime path of healing. It also is designed to be repeated one of more times over the year and suggests other Bible-based studies to move you through the first hard year.

be opened using Acrobat Adobe Reader (which can be downloaded free from
Adobe.com). The study is designed to be used daily to position you to
meet with God and to be changed from the inside out. We recommend that
you print out the entire study and make notes on it as you work through
it daily, actually filling in the portions that asks questions. This requires
more time and energy than reading the materials as a book or article.
Remember, knowledge alone will not break habits or change inward thinking.
Therefore, purpose to engage your heart with the Lord through these
exercises.
The workbook and appendices is approximately 200 pages, and it is broken
into three files consisting of Weeks 1-6, Weeks 7-12, and the Appendix.

Accountability: Why and How
We suggest that you begin and maintain an accountability partner while working through the workbook study. There is just something about breaking the vow of silence that helps a man break free from sin. Because people trapped in bondage to sexual sins are substituting false forms of intimacy, such as pornography or masturbation, and many experience sharp pains of guilt or shame, most are reluctant to link up with another when fighting to break free. Unfortunately, this solo approach almost always fails. There are relatively few books or articles outlining the Biblical basis for accountability partners. The reason we have place this short article in our bookstore is to highlight the importance pursuing accountability relationships.
